Cognitive impairment and post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 in Indonesia: Prevalence, determinants, and vaccination history
收藏资源简介:
We performed an observational study among people who underwent COVID-19 diagnostic tests in a hospital in Indonesia. They were randomly selected and visited by our interviewers. The survey was conducted in the province of D.I. Yogyakarta. As of January 24, 2023, Yogyakarta had 100% vaccination coverage for the first dose and 41.26% for the second and third doses (https://vaksin.kemkes.go.id/#/provinces). A tertiary public hospital with high-volume severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) test facilities in this province was selected as the population frame for the study. This study began in April 2023, and post-COVID-19 conditions (PCCs) were projected to appear between 6 and 18 months after the diagnosis of COVID-19. Therefore, a 1-year timeframe between November 2021 and November 2022 was chosen for the study period. Eligible participants were adults aged ≥18 years who underwent COVID-19 diagnostic tests in hospitals. People with positive outcomes in this study were those who tested positive of COVID-19 with reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction using nasopharyngeal swab. The exclusion criteria were dementia or other cognitive declines before the diagnostic test, hearing disability, missing contact information, an unwillingness to participate, or the need for assisted ventilation. Participants were required to complete an informed consent form prior to the interview. Individual interviews were conducted using a structured questionnaire written in Indonesian, with responses being recorded in paper format. We recorded the name of the interviewer for each participant to correct potential information leakage by statistical analysis, as this could interfere their assessments during interview. Data recorded between November 30, 2021 and December 1, 2023 in the hospital were also collected. Note: A few input error exists in the datasets. For our study, we corrected the input in our analyses. We shared the programming codes for all analyses in this study (https://github.com/herdiantrisufriyana/colab_locovyog). The preprint article was also shared in this repository. Please kindly review the preprint article and the analytical codes before dealing with these datasets.
