资源简介:
Among the recently discovered two-dimensional (2D) materials showing great promise, the Janus family stands out as a particularly intriguing group. These materials possess unique anisotropic structures, featuring two distinct faces. While garnering significant attention across various research fields, magnetic 2D Janus materials have only been explored theoretically so far, and the practical fabrication of such a complex system remains unrealized. Our group, in close collaboration with the BM32 beamline of ESRF, recently proposed a protocol to fabricate the 2D Janus magnet Fe3GeTeS. Both structural and chemical characterizations confirmed the 2D Janus transformation of Fe3GeTe2 but the evaluation of the magnetic properties is still required. With this experiment, we aim to use to X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) to measure the magnetic anisotropy, magnetic moment and temperature evolution of this new material.
