Healthcare Logistics Dataset: GraphML Pathway Network and Transport Requests (University Medical Center Freiburg)

Pseudonymized dataset comprising a GraphML-based pathway network and transport request data from the central campus of the University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany. The central campus consists of multiple hospital buildings as well as surrounding public pathways and streets. The network models corridors, elevators, bridges, underground connections, and outdoor paths, while the request data covers medium-sized goods transports (e.g., blood products, medications) from August to October 2023. This dataset can be used for research in areas such as healthcare logistics, transport optimization, simulation of internal hospital workflows, and network-based analysis of mobility systems in complex indoor environments. Relation to Associated Research This dataset constitutes the empirical basis for the analysis presented in the associated research paper. In that work, the dataset is used to simulate and evaluate an autonomous transport system within the facilities of the University Medical Center Freiburg. The study applies a simulation-based approach to investigate the performance of automated transport processes on the given pathway network and demand data. Further methodological details, assumptions, and preprocessing steps related to this dataset are described in the corresponding publication.
