As most aphids species, Eriosoma grossulariae harbours the obligate nutritional endosymbiont Buchnera aphidicola. Through co-occurrence data of secondary endosymbionts across different populations of this aphid species, we determined that this population of Eriosoma grossulariae was also infected by a facultative Hamiltonella defensa symbiont and its associated APSE phage as well as a Regiella symbiont.
