Mixed-layer Deepening and Internal Wave Generation under Sea Ice in Free Drift Simulation Data
收藏资源简介:
The simulation data used in the Journal of Physical Oceanography Publication: "Mixed-layer Deepening and Internal Wave Generation under Sea Ice in Free Drift". This simulation data was produced using the code found here. Note that we exclude internal wave data since it was too large to include. The NetCDF files consist of the following: The coordinate arrays (x, y, z) including time S_mean: The horizontally averaged salinity profile u_ice_x and u_ice_y: Sea ice velocity components U, V, and W: The horizontally averaged velocities uw_reynolds and vw_reynolds: The x and y Reynolds stresses u_surf and v_surf: The surface horizontal velocity fields TKE: The horizontally averaged turbulent kinetic energy profile Qu and Qv: The horizontal momentum fluxes supplied from the sea ice model onto the ocean model pressure_transport: The pressure transport term in the turbulent kinetic energy equation P_s: The shear production profile IW_flux: The vertical internal wave energy flux <wp>/rho_0 h_ice: Sea ice thickness timeseries B_prod: Vertical profile of the buoyancy flux TKE_adv: Horizontally averaged turbulent kinetic energy advection turbulent_transport: The turbulent transport term from the turbulent kinetic energy equation For how these terms were exactly computed, please refer to the simulation code.
