Discovering Rivers and Floods: materials for multidisciplinary learning activities

These materials can be used to engage children, adolescents and adults in discovering rivers and floods and reflecting on the concepts of flood hazard, flood risk mitigation, and the interconnection between rivers and communities from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The repository contains:
1. Pictures_journey_of_two_raindrops.pdf: a collection of images illustrating the journey of two raindrops from the mountain to the sea. The story is designed to raise children’s awareness of the existence of hydraulic infrastructures;
2. Pictures_Po_River_walk: a collection of photos describing an imaginary walk along the Po River in Northern Italy. The activity, designed for adolescents, aims to explore the main characteristics of the river from hydraulic, geographical, and literary perspectives;
3. Quiz.pdf: example of a quiz delivered during community events to allow adults to discover their level of knowledge about flood management.
