Acceptability Judgment Task

This repository contains the anonymized dataset and supporting materials for the manuscript The acquisition of because-clause typology in L2 English: Evidence for L1 transfer and interface effect. The dataset includes responses to an acceptability judgment task (AJT) completed by Japanese learners of English and native speakers of English. Experimental materials and documentation describing the dataset are also provided. The data support the statistical analyses reported in the manuscript. The dataset has been fully anonymized. Owing to copyright restrictions, textbook examples analyzed in the study are not included in this repository.
