Data for "Proxy reconstruction of ultraviolet-B irradiance at the Earth’s surface, and its relationship with solar activity and ozone thickness"

UV-B absorbing compound (UAC) data, measured by Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) microspectroscopy, for Nar Lake <i>Pinus</i> pollen, for each of five replicate measurements per sample. ‘Cal.yr.top’, ‘Cal.yr.btm’ and ‘Cal.yr.mid’ give the upper, lower and midpoint ages for each sample, ‘Aromatic’ is the height of the 1510 cm^-1 aromatic peak, OH is the height of the 3300 cm^-1 hydroxyl peak, and ‘UACs’ is the aromatic/OH ratio.
