资源简介:
This dataset contains growth measurements from a comprehensive provenance test of Pinus densiflora conducted by the National Institute of Forest Science (NIFoS) in South Korea. Methods: Seeds were collected from 36 provenances in 1993-1994. To ensure genetic diversity and representativeness, within a 5km radius of each provenance coordinate, two stands of P. densiflora were selected and seeds were collected from 10 mother trees spaced at least 100m apart. The collected seeds were raised as 1-1 transplants and planted at 10 test sites in 1996. In 2014, when the trees were 20 years old, diameter at breast height (DBH; cm) and height (m) were measured for total of 8,754 trees. Data structure: Sheet #1: Geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) of the 10 test sites Sheet #2: Geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) of the 34 test sites Sheet #3: DBH (cm) and height (m) measurements of individual trees * Provenances of Taean and Buan may not represent strictly native populations. Historical records and genetic analyses indicate the possibility that P. densiflora seeds from Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do were intentionally transferred to these regions during or before the Joseon Dynasty for timber production (Ahn et al., 2021; Yi & Chun, 2009).
