资源简介:
Targeted amplicon NGS data for functional microbial target genes to characterise methanogens (mcrA) and methanotrophs (pmoA) that drive methanogenesis.Sediment samples collected from high latitude streams across 5 sites during 2016 and 2017. Locations were Iceland, Alaska, Greenland (2016), Kamchatka, Svalbard (2017).These sequences will need to be split by as they contain multiple amplicons per run. The primer set to extract the data for methanogens needs to be completed bioinformatically.Forward primer GGYGGTGTMGGDTTCACMCARTAAngel et al 2011 Methanogenic archaea are globally ubiquitous in aerated soils and become active under wet anoxic conditions The Isme Journalmlas-mod is only 1 bp different from original mlas forward primer by Steinberg and Regan 2008 see below for reference.Reverse primer CGTTCATBGCGTAGTTVGGRTAGTSteinberg and Regan 2008 Phylogenetic comparison of the methanogenic communities from an acidic, oligotrophic fen and an anaerobic digester treating municipal wastewater sludge Applied and Environmental Microbiology
