XPM-098 Phallic shaped labret, Sapsuk River, AK

Phallic shaped carved ivory from XPM-098 Trench 3 Unit 7 Level 2, catalog number 469, dating to approximately 2300 BCE. This is likely an early labret form. One of the earliest decorative organic artifacts in the western Gulf of Alaska. SR08-1-TR-3 Sapsuk River, Nelson Lagoon area, Alaska Peninsula, Alaska. Several salmon fishing sites.
