Residential Land Bulletin

Residential lots are parcels of land intended for housing development. In\r\nfringe areas there would generally (but not in all cases) be one dwelling\r\nbuilt on each lot. In established areas residential lots may be parcels of\r\nland created by subdividing larger properties or redeveloping land from other\r\nuses, often for multi-purpose construction. While technically still defined as\r\nresidential lots, the latter may more usefully be considered as dwelling\r\nunits. \r\nOnly metropolitan Melbourne is included. \r\nResidential lots in subdivision plans: Councils provide the number of\r\nresidential lots which were submitted to them in subdivision plans where a\r\nplanning permit is required for subdivision. \r\nWater supply conditions accepted for residential lots: Water supply\r\nauthorities provide the number of formal offers made by these authorities and\r\naccepted by land owners for the provision of water supply to residential lots\r\nin plans. \r\nCertification of residential lots: Councils provide the number of residential\r\nlots for which certification has been given. Certification is given when a\r\nplan complies with the conditions of the planning permit or planning scheme\r\nprovisions. \r\nResidential lots released: Councils provide the number of lots which have been\r\ncompleted to the satisfaction of the Council and have been issued with a\r\nStatement of Compliance.
