Data and R code for: Genetic line-specific plasticity across life stages and sexes under familiar and novel larval diets

This repository contains the datasets and R code supporting the manuscript "Genetic line-specific plasticity across life stages and sexes under familiar and novel larval diets" The study investigated how genetic line, larval diet, dietary background, life stage, and sex influence developmental, adult, and reproductive traits in the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens). The repository includes four datasets used for the statistical analyses, an R script implementing all analyses, model diagnostics, and generation of the manuscript figures and tables, together with a README file describing the files and analysis workflow. The R script uses interactive file selection (file.choose()), allowing the analyses to be reproduced regardless of the local file structure. This repository provides the materials necessary to reproduce the analyses reported in the manuscript.
