Share of ad volumes in newspapers in India 2023, by select state

Maharashtra accounted for the highest share in newspaper ad volumes in India in 2023. The northern state of Uttar Pradesh followed with 11 percent, with Tamil Nadu ranking third during this period. A combination of five states contributed to around 50 percent of newspaper ad volumes in that year.
