Impact of Strigolactone Analogue on Soil Microbial Community Dynamics and Functional Enrichment

Strigolactones (SLs) are crucial for mediating interactions with parasitic plants like Striga and Orobanche, which pose substantial threats to global food security. Due to the instability of natural SL analogues, synthetic SL analogues are emerging as potential agents for combating root parasitic plants in agriculture. However, the impact of SL analogues on soil microbial communities, which could limit their effectiveness, is not yet fully understood. In this study, we investigated the effect of the SL analogue MP16 on soil microbial diversity and community composition.
