Red-throated Parrotfinch: Genome, WGS and RNA sequencing. Erythrura psittacea

In this study, we investigate the genetic basis of carotenoid-based color variation in domestic Red-throated parrotfinches (Erythrura psittacea). We have generated a Nanopore genome as well as full-transcript data of red and orange headed parrotfinches; resequenced the genomes of multiple individuals and used a range of analytic tools to search for genotype-to-phenotype associations across the genome.
