Italy: fatal road accidents on highways by vehicle type 2013-2021

In 2021, some 84 road accidents involving light vehicles and 86 accidents involving heavy vehicles were fatal on highways in Italy. This was the first time in the recorded period when heavy vehicles were involved in more fatal road accidents than light vehicles.
