资源简介:

Dunbeg (meaning "little fort" in Irish) is on the Dingle Pensinsula, Co Kerry. The site is periodically closed to the public for repairs due to ongoing erosion at the site. The fort was defended by four banks, five ditches and an inner stone rampart. There is a record of ongoing change at this site since 1856, through both erosion and human removal of stones. Restoration was conducted in 1892 with alteration to the buildings and rampart wall. The CHERISH project has been monitoring this important site since 2017 and has recorded change associated with storm events. More information on this site can be found at: http://cherishproject.eu/en/project-news/blog-posts/the-crumbling-promontory-fort-of-dunbeg/ and https://maps.archaeology.ie/HistoricEnvironment/. The site was surveyed in May 2021 using a SenseFly eBee Plus with a S.O.D.A camera flown at 100m, with a ground sampling distance of 2.5 cm. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
