A laboratory strain of Aedes aegypti was selected for resistance to Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (Bti), a larval pathogen, by exposure to its toxins during 30 generations. Gene expression in midguts is compared between the resistant strain, LiTOX, and the control Bora-Bora strain.
