资源简介:
Supporting data for the paper "The cross-over from viscous to inertial lengthscales in rapidly-rotating convection" submitted to Geophysical Research Letters. In this work we study rotating convection in planar and spherical geometries. We focus on the transition from viscously-dominated to inertia-dominated regimes, and in particular how this affects the typical lengthscale of the flow. The deposit includes the key post-processed data input parameters and time-averaged output values for the simulations in:plane layer geometry.quasi-geostrophic spherical geometry.Instruments, hardware and software used:Data in plane layer geometry were produced by the open-source Dedalus code (Burns et al 2020 DOI:10.1103/PhysRevResearch.2.023068)Data in QG spherical geometry were produced by an in-house code (Guervilly et al. 2019 DOI:10.1038/s41586-019-1301-5)<br>
