ASEAN Digital Integration Index Reconstructed for a wider geographical range

This repository is created for the purpose of the reconstruction of the ASEAN Digital Integration Index (ADII) for a wider geographical scope. ADII index covers a broad definition of digital development, including institutional and infrastructural readiness, environment of innovation, human skills, data protection and cybersecurity, and digital trade, payments and logistics. Its benefit lies in the use of open and international data sources (such as World Bank, UNESCO, ITU Data Hub, among others), which cover many countries outside of the region, offering high quality and reliable data. File "ADII_indicators.csv" contains all indicators constituting the ADII index for 216 entities. In most cases, there were too many missing entries and the index was constructed only for those with at most 3 missing indicators. File "reconstructed_ADII.csv" contains the pillars and the final ADII score for 108 countries. File "reduced_ADII.csv" contains the scores after dimensionality reduction based on the Principal Component Analysis method. The reduced index is based on 24 indicators (instead of 30 in the original version), which allowed for the inclusion of 124 countries.
