A great number of leaves in this copy, especially in the beginning and towards the end, are so firmly glued together, that it is impossible to separate them without tearing them to pieces. The contents, so far as they can be ascertained, are as follows:

A.Centre-columns:

1.The collector’s preface, on fol. 2a.

2.Seven risâlas, as it seems; the first, the beginning of which can be quoted, is the third of the usual copies, on fol. 48b (رسالۀ سيوم در جواب صاحب ديوان); the fourth, در عقل و عشق, begins (without a heading) on fol. 52a; the fifth ( رسالۀ پنجم در نصيحة الملوك), on fol. 56b; the sixth, containing the second story only of the three, viz. the نصيحت انكيانو (just as No. 1121 in this Cat.) begins on fol. 77a with the simple heading شيخ ميفرمايد ; the seventh is the third story (رسالۀ ملك شمس الدين) of the usual sixth risâlah, beginning, on fol. 81a: در زمان حكومت ملك الخ.

3.Gulistân, on fol. 83b.

4.Ṭayyibât, on fol. 230b.

5.Hazliyyât, on fol. 428b (first heading: المجلس الاوّل بالهزل).

An index on the fly-leaf. There are wanting in this copy the first story of the sixth risâlah, the Arabic ḳaṣîdas, the Khabithât, Muḳaṭṭa’ât, and Muḍḥikât. No date.

No. 1260, ff. 472, 2 centre-coll., each ll. 10, and a third on the margin, ll. 20; Nasta’lîḳ; splendid ornaments throughout the copy; beautifully illuminated frontispieces on ff. 83b, 230b, 370b, 401b, 412b, and 428b; size, 11½ in by 6½ in.
