ENHANCING BILATERAL INVESTMENT THROUGH ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF SOUTH KOREA AND JAPAN

This study examines the role of economic diplomacy in enhancing bilateral investment relations, with a comparative analysis of South Korea and Japan. In the context of globalization and increasing economic interdependence, economic diplomacy has become a key instrument for promoting foreign direct investment (FDI), strengthening trade partnerships, and fostering sustainable economic growth. The research explores the institutional frameworks, policy instruments, and diplomatic strategies employed by South Korea and Japan to attract and facilitate bilateral investment. A comparative approach is used to identify similarities, differences, and best practices in their economic diplomacy models. The findings demonstrate that proactive government policies, effective investment promotion agencies, strategic economic partnerships, and comprehensive bilateral agreements significantly contribute to investment expansion.
