Prevalence and development of sarcopenia using whole-body gold-standard and regional measurements and malnutrition in neurological patients during inpatient rehabilitation.

[Abstract]=The aims of this study were to 1.) assess the prevalence and evolution of malnutrition and sarcopenia in patients undergoing neurological rehabilitation throughout the rehabilitation period, with measurements at baseline, 3 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months or three days before discharge using current gold-standard screening and diagnostic measurements. 2.) to evaluate the concurrent criterion validity of regional sarcopenia measurements (index test) and whole-body sarcopenia measurements (gold-standard) in neurological patients.
