Temperature and salinity profile data collected from CTD casts by the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), India, in the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean from October 01, 1983 to August 05, 1996 (NODC Accession 0055417)

Physical data were collected from CTD casts from the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. Data were collected from October 1983 to August 1996. Data were collected and submitted by the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), India and provided to the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP). Physical parameters include temperature and salinity profiles.
