资源简介:
This dataset contains the Amplicon Sequence Variants (ASVs) data of soil microbial communities, used in the study titled "Plant Functional Traits and Soil Properties Drive the Structure and Function of Soil Microbes in Larix principis-rupprechtii Mixed Plantations". The data were collected through a field survey across three different forest stand types, each sampled along a diagonal transect. For each forest stand type, three soil cores (0-20 cm depth) were collected and combined into composite samples. The soil samples were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80°C upon arrival at the laboratory.
Soil DNA was subsequently extracted, and the ASVs representing the microbial communities were determined using high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene (or other marker genes depending on the methodology).Tree species mixing alters soil microbial community structure and function through divergent pathways - indirectly shaping bacterial communities via modifications in leaf functional traits and soil properties, while directly controlling fungal community assembly through tree identity effects.
This dataset provides key evidence that tree species mixing regulates soil microbial structure and function through divergent pathways: indirect mediation via leaf traits and soil properties for bacteria, and direct control by tree identity for fungi.
