"Survey on cognitive abilities linked to abstract reasoning"

"Responses collected online during 2021. An anonymous survey was constructed using Google Forms, to explore operational definitions of abstraction by the proxy of analyzing, in practical situations, its closeness to other similar constructs such as fluid intelligence (commonly referred to as intelligence), crystallized intelligence (also known as prior knowledge), generalization and decomposition, and see how different professionals group these mental abilities. Besides basic demographic questions, thirteen problematic scenarios were presented. Respondents are tasked with scoring via a Likert scale the extent to which each of the five cognitive skills is required to solve each situation. They do not have to solve the situations, just indicate how much of each the abilities they think are needed to solve it."
