In the present study we used Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in 16S rRNA gene analysis to define whether the bacterial composition varies among the different developmental stages of H. carpathicus. We analyzed obtained microbiome profiles to verify the presence of known endosymbionts. Moreover, we delineate metabolic potentials of the microorganisms associated with different developmental stages of H. carpathicus.
