It is a platform to assist and manage the acquisition, storage, analysis and exploration of DNA barcode records of the fishes and other aquatic organisms, for species identification, resolving taxonomic ambiguities, and molecular genetic analysis. This database contains sequence information on mitochondrial gene cytochrome c oxidase I (COI) for aquatic species along with morphology, distribution and conservation status.
