The uploaded CSV file contains quantitative behavioural data collected from waterbirds observed at two wetland sites in northeastern Algeria. Each row represents an observation unit corresponding to a given wetland, season, and week, while each column corresponds to a specific variable.The variable Wetland identifies the study site and includes two categorical levels: Chott Tinsilt and Sebkhet Ezzemoul. The variable Season indicates the wintering season during which observations were conducted, namely 2015–2016 and 2016–2017. The variable Weeks refers to the temporal sampling unit and is coded using a combination of the first letter of the month and the week number within that month (e.g. S1 denotes the first week of September).The remaining columns describe the behavioural time budget of the studied birds. These variables (Feeding-at-edges, Feeding-in-water, Preening, Sleeping, Loafing, Swimming, Flying, Courtship, and Agonistic-behaviour) represent the percentage of total observation time allocated to each behavioural activity. Together, these variables provide a detailed quantification of activity patterns and allow comparison of behavioural strategies across wetlands, seasons, and weeks.
