This record contains data collected on the AIMS vessel RV Lady Basten between 5 and 13 June 2002. Parameters measured are the concentration of chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments and retrieved chlorophyll a estimate. 9 stations were sampled. This cruise was used primarily to validate ocean colour sensors MERIS, MODIS and SeaWIFS and the SST sensor AATSR. Samples were collected for pigments, total suspended solids (TSS) and absorption coefficient- dissolved and particulate.
