16S rRNA genes of Bacteria and Archaea in nitrate-reducing oil-degrading enrichments isolated from heavy oil reservoirs

The overall objective of this study was to analyze 16S rRNA genes in the DNA extracted from nitrate-reducing oil-degrading enrichments obtained from production water samples by high-throughput sequencing to better understand the microbial community composition of the heavy oil reservoirs.
