Pan-European Land Cover Scenarios (100 m)

Land cover (LC) transformation increasingly threatens Europe's groundwater systems by altering interactions between land and water. It is essential to evaluate the impact of LC changes to pinpoint vulnerable groundwater resource hotspots that need effective water management strategies. This dataset identifies hotspots for GWR across Europe. Datasets include different LC scenarios and estimated GWR with a spatial resolution of 100 × 100 m across Europe. The resulting rasters identify regions with high/low recharge potential under different LC scenarios.
