Serious Injury Outcome Indicators: 2000-18

##Changes since the 2000–17 release: Changes to data: We have used the updated National Minimum Dataset (MNDS) from Ministry of Health (MoH) to update the serious non-fatal and the serious (fatal and non-fatal) injury indicators for Māori. The ethnicity data that is used to create these indicators has been updated. Since 2017, MoH updated approximately 160,000 National Health Identifier record details. Individuals with 'unknown' ethnicity were updated with a known ethnicity where one was present on enrolments for primary health organisations. These improved ethnicity records are represented in the 2000–15 data, which has resulted in many more injuries being identified as incurred by Māori. en-NZ
