Earthquake catalog built with machine-learning-based and matched-filtering techniques. The catalog covers the region around Ridgecrest, California between 2008 and 2024. The catalog is divided into two files, one spanning the period before the beginning on the 2019 Ridgecrest sequence, which started with a large M6.4 event of 2019-07-04, and the other file spanning the period after. The two catalog files are organized : event_id: a unique event identifier, origin_time: origin time, UTC, of the event, longitude: longitude in decimal system, latitude: latitude in decimal system, depth: depth in km, hmax_unc: maximum horizontal uncertainty in km (from uncertainty covariance ellipsoid), hmin_unc: minimum horizontal uncertainty in km (from uncertainty covariance ellipsoid), az_hmax_unc: azimuth (angle from north) of maximum horizontal uncertainty in degrees, vmax_unc: maximum vertical horizontal uncertainty in km (from uncertainty covariance ellipsoid), Mw: moment magnitude, !! this column is mostly empty since most events were not well enough recorded to estimate a moment magnitude !! Mw*: an approximate moment magnitude (see reference), n_dev: the number of correlation-coefficient standard deviations for matched-filter detections (threshold was 8), tt_rms: the travel-time root-mean-square residual, in seconds. Matched-filter detected events that couldn't be relocated have NaNs, mining (in the pre-mainshock catalog only): anthropogenic event flag. The catalog creation process did not focus on obtaining correct magnitudes for large events. The automatic calculation is expected to break down for moment magnitudes larger than 4.
