1. Eggplant contains a significant amount of nutritious fiber, which is an essential component in a healthy diet as it helps our digestive process run smoothly. Adequate fiber in our diet can also assist in controlling blood sugar, preventing spikes, and providing resistance to spikes and crashes. 2. Per 100 grams of eggplant, it contains approximately 2.9 grams of fat, 0.8 grams of minerals, 13 grams of carbohydrates, 42 kilocalories of energy, 1.8 grams of protein, 28 milligrams of calcium, 0.9 milligrams of iron, 850 micrograms of carotene, 0.12 milligrams of vitamin B1, 0.08 milligrams of vitamin B2, and 22 grams of sugar, among other nutrients. 3. Eggplant can help reduce the risk of heart diseases and many other cardiovascular problems as it is known to decrease damage caused by free radicals. 4. Eggplant is indeed a highly popular vegetable in Bangladesh, and its cultivation has become economically significant for many farmers. When it comes to cultivating eggplants, it's essential for farmers to be aware of the various challenges, including pest attacks. 5. Protecting eggplants from pests is crucial for a successful harvest. There are various pests that can attack eggplant plants, and farmers need to take measures to safeguard their crops. This may involve using pesticides, implementing integrated pest management techniques, or adopting organic farming methods to minimize the use of chemicals and ensure healthy eggplant yields. 6. Diseases in crops are a widespread problem in agricultural production, and they have an adverse impact on the quality and productivity of the crops. Due to non-biological environmental factors, eggplant diseases adversely affect the yield and quality of eggplants, causing significant economic losses to farmers. The traditional identification of crop diseases is often time-consuming, labor-intensive, ineffective, and subjective. 7. In recent times, computer vision has shown great promise in conducting the classification and identification tasks of this kind. 8. Seven distinct kinds of eggplant classes are shown in this large dataset, which can be used to develop machine vision-based techniques: Healthy Leaf, Insect Pest Disease, Leaf Spot Disease, Mosaic Virus Disease, Small Leaf Disease, White Mold Disease, and Wilt Disease. 9. In reality, 1400 images of eggplants were initially collected from the field. Subsequently, to increase the quantity of data points, various image processing techniques were applied, such as shifting, flipping, zooming, shearing, brightness enhancement, and rotation, resulting in a total of 9800 augmented images derived from the original images.
