Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica fulica-like serovars have been isolated from the lungs of beached harbor-porpoises, in wounds caused by lung-worms. In the present study, genomes from two such isolates were sequenced and assembled. Examination of these genomes revealed widespread degradation, including pathogenicity islands 1-4, mostly through IS elements.
