Ectomycorrhizal morphotypes and fungal species of Abies fargesii var. faxoniana across an elevational gradient in western Sichuan, China

This dataset investigates the variation characteristics of ectomycorrhizal morphotypes and ectomycorrhizal fungal species groups associated with Abies fargesii var. faxoniana roots across an elevational gradient in subalpine forests of western Sichuan, China, while also analyzing the congruence between morphotype and species composition. The dataset includes environmental data across different elevational gradients, such as soil carbon-to-nitrogen ratio, soil nitrogen mineralization rate, and other nitrogen-related environmental indicators, as well as the mean annual temperature for each elevation. Additionally, it contains metrics on the fine root quantity characteristics and nitrogen uptake rates of Abies fargesii var. faxoniana.
