RNA-seq analysis of Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains with glucose/xylose (C6/C5) co-fermentation performances provides high-resolution transcriptome data, which provides the transcriptome reference to investigate the potential genetic factors that contribute to balancing the antagonism between xylose utilization and acetic acid tolerance, and further affords a unique view for understanding the underlying mechanism of antagonism in C6/C5 co-fermentation S. cerevisiae strains.
