Data from: Inter-sexual phenotypic divergence is correlated with habitat structure in an invasive lizard
Key to data files
SNP data:
The file ‘Filtered SNPs 20230513_i95_l50_HWE_LD.vcf’ contains the output from ipyrad following filtering for individuals with less than 95% missing data, loci for 50% missing data, removing loci not in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and thinning data so that no SNP was within less than 500 bp of another. This file is in VCF format.
Vegetation data:
The file ‘vegetation diameter.csv’ contains measures of vegetation diameter at 1m height from 2m x 2m quadrats at each end of each transect.
The file ‘vegetation height.csv’ contains measures of vegetation height from the five highest plants in a 20m x 20m quadrat at each end of each transect.
The file ‘vegetation structure.csv’ contains estimated vegetation cover at eight layers (0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 m above the ground; VG0 – VG64 respectively) at 6 locations (20 m radius) at each site over three seasons.
The following variables are included in all files:
Island (Chichijima, Hahajima and Anijima) and site number (see Figure 1 in main text).
Anole data:
The file ‘morphological data.csv’ contains measurements of anole morphology for x individuals. The following variables are included (see also Supplementary Materia):
Sex – male or female
SVL – snout-vent length
HL – head length
HW – Head width
HH – Head height
MO – Mouth opening
sqrtdewlap – area of dewlap (square root transformed)
FL – Femur length
TIB – Tibia length
FAL – Fore arm length
FTL – Hind foot length
HUM – Humerus length
Forelimb – Total forelimb length (HUM + FAL)
Hindlimb – total hindlimb length (FL + TIB + FTL)
sqrtFFA – Fore finger area (square root transformed)
sqrtHFA - Hind finger area (square root transformed)
