资源简介:
This paper introduces several datasets (.csv) providing raw data and statistical differences before and after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The variables within the datasets include reported anxiety or depression symptoms, economic indicators, all-cause mortality rate, and isolated mass-shooting events. The raw datasets come from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), and the Gun Violence Archive By observing before and after the peak of the pandemic, the overall effect of COVID-19 on mental health can be analyzed and more thoroughly understood using this data.
We hypothesized that the older adult population would be more susceptible to mental health issues throughout the pandemic due to their high mortality risk. However, our results indicate that the mental health of the youngest adult population (18-29 years) was most negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
