Strain KRS010 was isolated from the seed of Verticillium wilt-resistant Gossypium hirsutum cultivar "Zhongzhimian No. 2". The cell-free fermentation supernatant and VOCs from KRS010 had an inhibitory effect on pathogenic fungi at different degrees on a variety of pathogenic fungi (unpublished data). Moreover, strain KRS010 showed a strong nitrogen fixation activity and the ability to solubilize tricalcium phosphate and potash feldspar (unpublished data). KRS010 would be used as a potential biocontrol agent against verticillium wilt and other soil-borne diseases. In conclusion, we sequenced and annotated the complete KRS010 genome to help us better understand use of this strain.
