Elucidating the Cellular and Molecular Dynamics of Sebaceous Gland Self-Renewal and Regeneration

We isolated murine sebaceous gland (SG) cells and performed highly targeted single cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) to identify novel cell subpopulations and to infer lineage relationships. Fluorescently labeled SG cells were flow-sorted from dorsal skin harvested from a PPARG;YFP label-on male mouse, 8 weeks of age. Four replicate low-throughput libraries (LT-1, LT-2, LT-3, LT-4) were prepared in parallel from the same animal and analyzed by scRNA-seq.
