The Sao Paulo Zoo has a semi-industrial organic material composting operation. The University of Sao Paulo and the Federal University of Sao Paulo are studying samples from this process using metagenomic and amplicon techniques. The present dataset derives from this effort. The project is funded by FAPESP and CAPES.
