MASHRAB – THE POET OF THE PEOPLE'S HEART

This article examines the creative legacy of Boborahim Mashrab, a prominent representative of seventeenth – eighteenth – century Uzbek literature. The ideological and artistic features of the poet’s works, his Sufi worldview, and their socio-philosophical content are analyzed. It highlights that the themes of divine love, freedom, justice, struggle against hypocrisy, and human spiritual liberation occupy a central place in Mashrab’s poetry. In addition, the poet’s close connection with folklore, his mastery of symbolic imagery, and the artistic interpretation of Sufi terminology are studied from a scholarly perspective. The article reveals the role and significance of Mashrab’s creativity in classical Uzbek literature.
