The dataset includes 40 surface seawater (3m) metagenomics samples collected monthly from January 2012 to February 2015 at the SOLA station in the Bay of Banyuls sur Mer (France) in the northwestern Mediterranean.Samples were prefiltered on 3 µm filters and collected on 0.22 µm filters. Paired-end reads (2x100pb) sequencing was done with an Illumina HiSeq 2500.
