Raw data supporting the manuscript "Negative effects of a zoanthid competitor limit coral calcification more than ocean acidification" for review at Royal Society Open Science. <br> The coral <em>Porites </em>spp. and the zoanthid <em>Zoanthus </em>spp., are common benthic competitors on coral reefs in Bocas del Toro Panama. <br> Corals and zoanthids were exposed simultaneously to simulated ocean acidification and competition treatments in the lab, and response variables were measured after 8 weeks of exposure: growth via changes in buoyant weight (i.e., net calcification), growth via changes in polyp count, and photosynthetic efficiency via PAM fluorometry. <br> The data included here are the raw data from benthic surveys conducted at 5 sites around Almirante Bay, Bocas del Toro, Panama.
