A digital replica model (DRM) of the physicalmicrogrid (MG) is developed to validate operational strategiesthat capture the dynamic interplay between varying generationsources and load demands. Real-time cloud communication isestablished within the DRM. The model considers three primaryenergy sources: solar, battery, and grid with operational strategiesthat prioritize their utilization in the selected sequence. Furthermore,a control strategy is designed to prioritize the generationsources, ensuring an efficient, reliable, and stable energy supplysystem. The control strategy is developed considering thebattery state of charge (SoC) as a main reference. Moreover,all operational modes are developed and validated with realtimecloud data. In addition, a demand side management (DSM)strategy is developed in Simulink, validated within the DRM, andimplemented on the physical microgrid using ESP32 hardware.
