Single cell RNA sequencing of the healthy Human Spinal Enthesis

We used single-cell RNA-sequencing to investigate the cellular basis of immunomodulation in the human spinal enthesis by phenotyping all cells from the bony and the soft tissue part of the entheseal organ Overall design: Spinal ligament samples from four individuals with non inflammatory spinal conditions were obtained during spinal surgery, were disstected by their anatomical region of origin (perientheseal bone and entheseal soft tissue); cells were isolated mechanically and enzymatically and sequenced using the 10x Chromium single-cell RNA-seq protocol.
