We used five markers to metabarcode bacteria, archaea, plants, algae, fungi, animals, and protozoan biodiversity on five vernal pools. We sampled the five pools in the Spring of two years, 2017, and 2018, and sampled across the bottom, edge, and upland zones of the pools so we could compare biodiversity across zones and years.
